Hello everyone!
Well, it is that time of year again. CSAP tests start this week.
Make sure your children have a good and nutritious breakfast. I recommend oatmeal, fresh fruit and yogurt. Alternatively eating a whole wheat/grain bagel with cream chees or jam will be brain food!
Remind them to write for the whole time they are given, and especially to review and read over their work. They should use their editing, drafting and review skills for the entire time of the test. Use figurative language, and include details!
They will be fantastic.
Remember: those hooks, topic sentences, and conclusions will be important.

Don't forget to invite your parents to our write- a- thon( Thursday10th December. )Remember to tell them that they will be expected to write a letter as well!

Also, if you want to type your fliers, we will be going to the library on Monday. Use your time wisely.

You need to rememember that  you are presenting your landmarks to the class on Monday 30th.

Also, you can read your Thanksgiving poems to the class if you have them completed.

We will be revising the vocabulary for a quiz on Wednesday 2nd. We will make index cards on Tuesday to help you remember the words and their definitions.

Don't forget we have a quiz on Chapters 1-4 vocabulary from  Maniac Magee.
Also, remember your props fro the skit and make them meaningful please!

Write journal entry from the point of view of a famous explorer( think social studies)
10 points. Include Dear Diary and a date.( 2 points) Use as much figurative language as you can.( 5 points) Presentaion/ title, date and handwriting. ( 1 point)
